Holy Eucharist

The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity (Triune God), manifested as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each one itself being God (1 John 5:7). The Holy Spirit is God’s power in action as seen in Luke 1:35, and His ministry is to bear witness of Jesus Christ (John 15:26). The Holy Spirit is likened to Wind in John 3:8, Breath in Rev. 13:15. This explains it as something invisible to humans that produces visible effects.
The Holy Spirit play many roles in our live. In Romans 8:26, it intercedes for us. In Romans 8:14, it leads us. In Romans 8:2, it liberates us from the law of sin. In Ephesians 3:16, it strengthens us. In John 16:13, it guides us in the way of truth. It does lot more than this.
Jesus in John 14:15-18 promised His disciples the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in His name, to teach them all things and remind them of everything he had said. This therefore means that without the Holy Spirit in us, we are and can do nothing. No one can know Christ except through the Spirit because unless a man is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5)
The word of God has little or no meaning to us except from the illumination given by the Holy Spirit. We are encouraged to always read the Bible and pray, asking the Holy Spirit to show us the truth, help us to understand the word of God, intercede for us, teach and guide us on how to live our daily lives. The Holy Spirit will never prompt us to do what is contrary to the word of God, instead He fills us with wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord.
As much as we want to know about the Trinity, most of our question must wait until we are with God. The fact behind the Trinity is a Mystery. This is because we are finite (limited) and therefore cannot understand the infinite (He Who is limitless).
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, it changes our actions and attitudes. It results in an abundant and overflowing life. Child of God, welcome the Holy Spirit in your life today, and like my brother Priest (Rev. Fr. Nze Muoba would say, give the Holy Spirit a permanent seat in your home and you will become extravagant. Your life will be turned into something special and exclusive.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray
Oh Lord,
Whom by the light of the Holy Spirit
instruct the hearts of your faithful
Grant that in the same Spirit
we may be truly wise
and ever rejoice in your consolation
we ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
